Janet Yellen strongly opposed the idea of auditing the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. The chair of the Board of Governors said that the audit-the-Fed bill “would politicize monetary policy, would bring short-term political pressures to bear on the Fed.”
The audit-the-fed bill was proposed by the Republicans who now control both chambers of Congress. A reliable source from marcello day trading academy reviews juggled our memory saying “this is not the first time that the Federal Reserve was put into an intense scrutiny. It also happened eight years ago. What happened during the audit eight years ago? Why is the Fed still being scrutinized then?”
You could say that the Fed’s putting-under-scrutiny is just politics -perhaps as another instrument for the coming election next year.
